This bag of green coffee beans from Flores Indonesia is one of many international coffees available at Uncommon Grounds in Duxbury. All freshly roasted daily. Great coffees and incredible muffins!
I've been taking my family to this coffee shop for over 10 years, and it's terrific. Very small, family run business. They roast their own beans right there on the premises, which I love. Not a ton of seating, but fantastic pastries (mostly muffins) to go along with some terrific coffee. It's a cash-only place (something else I love), so bring some folding money with you. You won't be disappointed!
Cash only. There is an ATM at the General Store across the street. It looks like all beans are roast right here, and this is a super simple place with just coffee, muffins, and one or two other fresh-baked items. The owner was gracious enough to let me use the bathroom (a rare commodity around here, and it wasn’t hard to flush which, with my fragile EDS hands, some are these days). Thank you!!!! The smell of the muffins is phenomenal! The parking lot is a decent size. There is no ramp access. You will have to go up 3 stairs (two on the porch and a small one into the actual store).
A great place to stop for a cup of coffee, pick up freshly roasted beans, or a muffin right out of the oven. Prices are very reasonable (cash only), and if you have any questions the owners are very friendly. For grabbing a bag of coffee beans, they have some unique offerings, and they can grind it for you if you like. It’s a down to earth and approachable coffee shop and roaster that focuses on quality. Hard to beat.
Cash only - but there’s a convenient ATM across the street in the packie. The staff were super friendly and kept my order to the side while I ran over for some cash. The coffee is all roasted in house and the homemade muffins were fresh out of the oven! I really liked the cinnamon hazelnut coffee blend. Wicked affordable prices and a great gem of a spot. I loved sitting out on the garden patio area for a bit.

Hidden gem of a coffee shop! Solid coffee (all drip, don’t come here asking for a cappuccino) but the muffins are INSANE. Right out of the tin they were cooked in, warm, perfectly crisp on the top. There is an atm across the street in the corner market if you need to pull out cash!
This place is great. It is tucked away from the main road and has some of the best muffins I’ve ever tasted, the service was incredible and the workers were so kind.
Best muffins I have ever had. Seriously, all the flavors are top tier - But the blueberry has a special place in my heart. Next, I'm a decaf drinker due to health reasons.. I find that oftentimes, decaf coffee can kind of be an afterthought at some coffee shops. I really appreciate the excellent quality of the fresh decaf grounds here. The very rustic, grandma's home kitchen feel is also part of the old school charm. This place deserves all your business.
First time stopping in. Got a coffee and a blueberry muffin. The coffee "house blend" was good, tasty and enjoyable.... the blueberry muffin was the best blueberry muffin I've had in a VERY long time. It was lightly sugared, not overwhelming, a little crispy outside, soft on the inside, with nice blueberry flavor. Lots of blueberries. Looking forward to going back.
